It's both, the black trailer may hint more towards it but think of BWBY as yugioh or dragonball z abridge. A show for the fans that's self aware of the absurdities of the shows premise.

I liked it. It had a nice story, I thought it looked pretty good, and was amusing. It wasn't necessarily my cup of tea, but it wasn't terrible. You did a good job on this. Keep it up.
